Terms of service
Last updated July 3, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Maivor AB, Sweden (“BriefOwl”, “we”) for the service at briefowl.io. By creating an account you accept them.
What the service is
BriefOwl reads the Search Console, Google Analytics, and Bing Webmaster data of sites you connect and writes analysis: briefs, findings, and recommended actions. Access is read-only — BriefOwl recommends; you act. Nothing in a brief changes your site or your accounts.
Your account and acceptable use
You are responsible for your credentials and for having the right to connect the data sources you connect. Don’t abuse the service: no attempts to breach other workspaces, no automated scraping of the app, no reselling access without an agreement with us.
Plans and quotas
Plans gate the number of written briefs per calendar month; the exact numbers are stated on the pricing page and in Settings, together with the reset date. Deterministic data views are never gated. When a limit is reached, new written analyses wait for the reset or an upgrade — nothing else stops working.
Analysis, not advice
Briefs are automated analysis of your own data, with every claim linked to its underlying numbers and hypotheses labeled as hypotheses. They are decision support, not professional advice — verify before acting on anything consequential, and treat recommended actions as recommendations.
Availability and changes
The service is provided as-is, without an uptime guarantee, and it evolves: features may change as the product develops. We will not remove data you created without notice. We may update these terms; material changes are announced in the app or by email, and continued use after the effective date is acceptance.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect damages, including lost profits or lost data caused by decisions taken on the basis of a brief.
Termination
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms or put the service at risk, with notice where practical.
Governing law
Swedish law governs these terms. Disputes are resolved by Swedish courts, with Göteborgs tingsrätt as the first instance where the rules allow a choice.
